By accessing or using Blogs for Vercel ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and organizations.

2. Description of Service

Blogs for Vercel is a Content Management System (CMS) API service that allows you to:

  • Create, manage, and store blog posts in Markdown and HTML formats
  • Organize content with tags and categories
  • Access your content through secure REST API endpoints
  • Collaborate with team members through organizations
  • Manage API keys for secure authentication

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
  • Be at least 13 years of age
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and API keys
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Ensuring that all team members in your organization comply with these Terms

4. Content Ownership and License

4.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights to all content you create, upload, or store through the Service ("Your Content"). You are solely responsible for Your Content and warrant that:

  • You have the right to use, store, and distribute Your Content
  • Your Content does not violate any third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, etc.)
  • Your Content complies with applicable laws and regulations
  • Your Content does not contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful components

4.2 License to Us

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

  • Store, process, and transmit Your Content as necessary to provide the Service
  • Create backups of Your Content for data protection purposes
  • Display Your Content through our API endpoints as requested by authenticated users

This license terminates when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for content retained in backups for a reasonable period.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Upload, store, or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory
  • Upload, store, or transmit content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the API in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our express written permission
  • Use the Service to host or distribute malware, spam, or phishing content

6. Subscription Plans and Billing

6.1 Subscription Tiers

We offer different subscription plans with varying features and limits:

  • Free Plan: Limited to 3 published blog posts and 1 user
  • Pro Plan: Unlimited blog posts and users

6.2 Payment Terms

For paid subscriptions:

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account

6.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until the end of your paid period.

7. API Usage and Rate Limiting

We implement rate limiting and usage restrictions to ensure fair use and system stability:

  • API requests are subject to rate limiting to prevent abuse
  • You must use API keys for authentication
  • You are responsible for securing your API keys and not sharing them publicly
  • Excessive API usage may result in temporary restrictions
  • We reserve the right to modify rate limits with reasonable notice

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • That the Service will meet your specific requirements
  • That defects will be corrected immediately

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service
  • Update features, APIs, or functionality
  • Remove content that violates these Terms

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your content at any time through the dashboard or API. When you delete content:

  • It will be removed from active storage
  • Backups may retain deleted content for a reasonable period for disaster recovery
  • We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes

Upon account closure, we will delete your data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
  • Use our trademarks or logos without permission

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on this page
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date
  • Sending an email notification for significant changes

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
